Car Rental Information and Rates
for Roatan Island

Car rentals are available from many car agencies.  Avis and Budget are located near the airport.  Local rental agencies are mostly along the road opposite the airport.  Caribbean Rent-A-Car 455-5648 is a preferred vendor. Their rates may vary from the information provided here.  Car rentals are subject to a 12% Honduran tax.    Most will use credit cards and gold and platinum cards usually cover the insurance.  You should check with your credit card company to evaluate you insurance options.

Some agencies have a booth t the airport.  They are staffed when an international flight arrives and when you have a reservation.  Otherwise, the booth may or may not be staffed.  Caribbean Rent A Car will deliver a car to the Vista Villas.

Public transportation and taxis service all areas on Roatan.   Mini buses and taxis stop at the entrance to Sunnyside to pick up passengers.   Taxis will drop off passengers at your lodging accommodation.   Be sure to confirm taxi rates before your travel.
